DJ Spoony delighted UK Garage enthusiasts everywhere by spinning a 10-minute medley of classic Garage tunes at this year's MOBO awards ceremony. A number of vocalists joined him on stage to perform brief renditions of their songs & really worked the live audience into a frenzy.
But what really caught our attention here at NUKG 24/7 was the accompanying visual, which gave subtle shout outs to a number of contemporary UK Garage producers - outside of the usual legendary names you might expect to see.
Included on the list were none other than NUKG 24/7 favourites Oppidan, Higgo & In4mous Goose - to name a few. Exactly how the list of names was compiled remains a mystery, especially given the omission of some arguably obvious suggestions. Nonetheless, it's a great look & huge pat on the back for any of the hard-working artists who did receive a nod.
