We've eagerly watched the Czech Republic's Jan Michek (pka Honey T) drop a steady stream of high level productions over the last few years. He announced a few months back via Instagram that his experimental foray into the wonderful world of LoFi had come to a conclusion, making way for him to focus more of his creative energy on making new UK Garage - something we, as fans of new UKG, were of course ecstactic to hear.
He's dropped three releases already since Christmas c/o Strictly Flava - a sublime 2-tracker in February, followed by the equally stellar 'I Can See' in March (subsequently featured on the NUKG 24/7: Summer 2025 compilation), plus riproaring and fun Speed Garage ditty 'Big Tingz' in May via Strange Times.
Returning to the classic 2 Step sound which we feel he does best, he just dropped 'Cyaneon' - again via the flagship Strictly Flava imprint: a splendid blend of skippy beats, gritty bass and syncopated stabs which commands your attention from the get-go and continually evolves over the course of 4 minutes. It's a really nice listen and we can't recommend it highly enough.
Feeling it? You can download 'Cynaeon' via Beatport here, or head over to the Strictly Flava Bandcamp now.
