Ahead of his feature as remixer on Phonetix's 'Invisible Remixed' EP (which drops 14th November) and off the back of his stunning edit of 3rd Coast's 'Closer', the enigmatic and mysterious Mr Sparkle (surely a Simpsons reference?) just dropped an incredible 4-track release c/o esteemed former-Slime imprint Downplay.
The Tokyo EP (named because each track pays homage to a different respective region of the city) is an incredible blend of vintage 2 Step, Jazz and Funk - with elements from the Far East region slickly interspliced amongst those niches. At a first listen it immediately reminded us of Mondo Grosso, and clearly caught the attention of the BBC's James Threlfall for that reason - who featured it on BBC Introducing this week.
