There's been a marked increase in support of NUKG from BBC Introducing in recent times, with the likes of Phonetix appearing in the Live Lounge; and Laura Alice, Eddie Craig, MC Cobra & more receiving consistent spins of their releases.
Oftentimes this exposure has been down to Jaguar, so it's no surprise to see her credited once more with picking up on something fresh from the South Coast's DJ Pencil & The Cut-Up Boys.
Perhaps one of the hardest working guys in NUKG, Pencil splits his time between recording NUKG himself & pushing music by other artists on Step2 Recordings. For all his efforts to elevate the people around him, it's good to see the Solent's finest getting his own flowers. This play marks the third time the act has featured on BBC Introducing on Radio 1 Dance... long may this pleasing trend continue!
