Baker wows with superb double-drop

We're huge fans of Big Boy Beatz head honcho Baker, so were pleased to be graced this week with a double-header of releases from him!

First up, available via his own imprint is another soulful pizzicato string-laiden, full vocal 2 Step affair - with a feature from SDOT. The track showcases everything we've come to know & love about Baker's sound: it's a musically rich, mature & well-thought-out piece, which harps back to simpler times when UKG was at the height of its popularity.

Also dropping yesterday was the third single from MC Cobra's forthcoming album - produced by (you guessed it).... Baker! This one, whilst still on the steppier side & chocked full of high quality vocal content, has an altogether different (perhaps more topical?) feel to it - driven along by a heavy, rasping reece style bass & with a slightly sinister combination of dark stabs & tine-rich vibraphone. As per, Cobra laces the beat with meaningful, clever, quickfire bars - this time reminding us all not to give up on our dreams, keep taking small steps & be secure in the knowledge that we're making steady progress: even when self-doubt creeps in.

All-in-all, it's been a fantastic week for NUKG. So take a bow, man from the Midlands, because it speaks volumes that your efforts stood out amongst the cream of the crop & warranted some praise.
